Mark came to Forest Brook in 2006 when his sister and brother in law encouraged him to apply for our Facility Manager position. We’re so grateful that they did – Mark is one of the most dedicated and hardworking people that we know and gives himself selflessly to his work here.
Mark was raised in a family that ran a Christian camp and always had a desire to serve in ministry vocationally – prior to joining our team, Mark and his family served at Guelph Bible Conference Centre.
Mark is committed to doing quality work and helping others. He also loves to laugh and joke around – which makes him a pretty good fit around here. Mark LOVES Pepsi, bring him one of those and you’ve won him over for sure. Mark deeply loves his wife Debbie and their three kids, and loves to spend time with his extended family.
Lately God has been teaching Mark to listen to others before jumping to conclusions and to show more grace.
We love Mark for his servant’s heart which he brings to all aspects of his position here. Mark is the best guy around – practical, handy, kind, generous, godly, and hilarious. Mark literally does not have an off switch, he is always ready to give advice, and help wherever he can. He never ever complains, even when he should. This place would not look or feel the same without him, he is valued beyond what we can express!
