When you walk into Forest Brook, we want you to feel comfortable – so please wear something that will help you to be comfortable! You will find people in jeans and some dressed more formally, but we love that diversity!
Our services will give you a taste of what we want our community to be about. We sing songs, read Scripture, tell stories, and think and talk about Jesus and how He wants His followers to live. We join together in Communion each week, breaking bread and taking the cup to remember Jesus’ death and resurrection.
During our service, which starts at 10:00 AM, we have a separate service for our children which is an interactive, multi-media based time of singing, teaching and story-telling. After their main session together, they divide up for more age specific curriculum. The whole church family (kids and adults) join together in our main auditorium, each long weekend year round and throughout the summer. Nursery and pre-school classes remain available during these times.
When we ask people what they love about Forest Brook, people often refer to the friendly people and that you can see people from all generations and backgrounds in one place. We value tradition and history, but want to understand the ways that our God and our faith remain relevant today, and use current means of expressing that.
Should you find your way here on a Sunday morning, please make a point of connecting with us at our Welcome Centre in the lobby. We look forward to seeing you here sometime!
MAKE FOREST BROOK HOME:
Within a given ministry year, we run several events that are specifically designed for those who are either new to our community, or looking to become participating members of our church.
A CASUAL AND INFORMATIVE GLIMPSE INTO ALL THAT
FBCC HAS TO OFFER, BEYOND A SUNDAY MORNING.
At a Connections Coffee you will be given information about the various programs, ministries and groups that exist at Forest Brook.
This event happens 3 times a year (Fall, Winter, Spring) after a Sunday service.
WE ARE FOREST BROOK
WE ARE FOREST BROOK IS A MORE FORMAL
INTRODUCTION TO THE CHURCH.
At "We are Forest Brook", you will learn a bit more about the "nuts and bolts" of FBCC - our history, our theology, our discipleship model and our core values.
This event is hosted by our staff and elders, as well as some members of our congregation.
It is an evening event, including dessert.
BELIEVE AND BELONG
A COURSE EXPLORING THE BIBLICAL VIEW OF CHURCH MEMBERSHIP AND FBCC'S DISTINCTIVES.
Believe and Belong is a course that is designed to give you a biblical overview of what God intended the local church to be.
Believe and Belong is offered in the Spring on a weekday evening, biweekly for 8 weeks (4 sessions).
At the end of the course, you'll be given the opportunity to choose to be a member at Forest Brook.
Please visit our Welcome Desk either before or after the Service on any given Sunday, to talk to a member of our Welcome Team, request additional information or fill out a Welcome Card!
Our Welcome Team is available on Sunday mornings - they'll be wearing a green nametag on a lanyard and any one of them would be pleased to answer any questions you may have!
