Thanksgiving Offering 2022

We take up a special offering every year to resource our Benevolence Fund. This fund is stewarded carefully to help us share practical kindness (that's what the word, 'Benevolence' means!) with our neighbours.

Financial aid can take the form of housing security, gas and grocery cost, phone and utility access and even subsidies for therapeutic counselling in some cases. It's a JOY to be able to give as a church family in this way. We ask that you contribute however you can this fall, for an impact all year long.

How to Give:

Help us re-stock the shelves of our Community Food Cupboard! Find a list below of current needs (to help with variety, check out the list assigned to your last name!) Drop off items on Sundays or anytime during the week via the church office.

Did you Know? We offer practical household needs to members of our community through the Food Cupboard. As food costs soar, we're including more types of products than ever before. Clients attend once per month on a Thursday.

We are in need of volunteers to work 2-hour shifts.  Interested? Send a note to:

We believe that everything we have is a gift from God and that we are entrusted with the care of the created world and all of life's resources.  We believe that Stewardship is the grateful response to God's grace and goodness.  Personal tithing and giving should flow not from obligation, but rather from a joyful heart, committed to worshiping God.

The ministry and operating costs of Forest Brook are met solely through the faithful giving of it's members and supporters.  Our commitment to good stewardship includes respecting donor's confidentiality and public accountability.

There are several ways that you can give to what we do here at Forest Brook:

  • You can get on "PAR" with our Pre-Authorized Remittance program, which does a direct withdrawal from your account on a monthly basis.
  • You can give in person on Sundays by using a blank envelope (provided.) We no longer distribute numbered envelopes.
  • You can give to specific ministry initiatives as they are raised (such as Missions fundraising, project-based direct donation, or donations in memory of a loved one).
  • You can give through Canada Helps - a national organization that facilitates giving for many charities in Canada, by clicking here:
  • You can give by Interac E-Transfer, sent to:

We are a registered charitable organization and all donors receive an official receipt for tax purposes at the end of the calendar year.
