The (un)Market has quickly become a favourite tradition of ours, and we can't wait to celebrate with you.  Friends, family and neighbours enjoy all the festive charm of a Christmas market, with a meaningful spin! 

Get to know this year's vendors (profiled below) and GIVE to support local initiatives serving our most vulnerable neighbours. 

Enjoy warm drinks, yummy treats, live music & carols.

The Hub/CFOC

The Christian Faith Outreach Centre (CFOC) is the organization behind The Hub and Doors of Compassion Shelter in South Ajax. Over the past 6 months they have seen a massive spike in the need for housing and resources for the area's growing refugee population.

Provide warm coats and boots.

Christmas Grocery Gifts

A Forest Brook initiative, collecting grocery gift cards and packing grocery hampers for local families.

The Pregnancy Help Centre

Supporting those distressed by pregnancy in the Durham Region. Helping to provide hope and care to families this Christmas with gift bags for the whole family.

AT THE UNMARKET: BUY A FAMILY A BOX OF CHOCOLATES  for $5.

The Refuge

A drop-in centre that serves homeless, hurting and hungry youth (26 and under) in the Oshawa area. 

 

AT THE UNMARKET:  BUY  DELECTABLE TREATS & BAKED GOODS TO TAKE HOME OR ENJOY RIGHT AWAY! ($2-$20)

Back Door Mission

Relieve the burdens of poverty and social dislocation within the economically deprived and street population of Oshawa.

 

BUY AHEAD (Bring with you):  Warm winter mitts/gloves, hats, handwarmers and winter blankets (twin size, not knitted).

New this year:

Browse a gallery of one-of-a-kind wreaths (made by the Forest Brook Community!) and bid on your favourite to bring home! It'll be Silent Auction style, with the final bids at 6:30pm. 

*All donated funds will go to the CFOC's Refugee Initiative

Create a sweet Christmas ornament and take it with you to give to someone who might need a little extra 'comfort and joy' this season. Pass on good tidings of great joy, with this small act of kindness.
