Tools for Caring Well
3 Sessions this fall
Sandy Broad, leader of Stephen Ministry at Forest Brook will be offering a series of sessions for those who want to learn more about how to be a better "carer" of others.
How can we share God’s love with others if we don’t first show we care about them? What does it really mean to “care” for another person? How do I show this care if I am not normally a “caring” person? How do I care for others I don’t agree with or maybe even like? And, how do I do this in the midst of my own busy life?
Life is not easy. We are created to be in relationship with other people, we need each other – and God has given us others to share the load with.
In these three interactive sessions we are going to cover key topics – such as empathy, emotions, listening, boundaries as well as delve into caring for others with specific life issues such as illness, depression or loss. There will be room for conversation and questions!
