"Transform, Reach, Engage and Connect."
Several years ago, the youth leadership group came up with a plan to give vision and direction to our Youth Ministries here at Forest Brook. We arrived at four things - Transform, Reach, Engage and Connect. All of what we do with youth here at Forest Brook flows from those four ideals. We trust and hope that what we do here is Transforming
the lives of youth. We also hope that with our presence in the community and in the lives of families that we are able to effectively Reach
youth and truly challenge them to Connect
with one another and with God.
Junior and Senior small groups meet on Tuesday nights, at 6:45 pm, here at the church - these are the crux of what we do in our Youth Ministry. These groups are led by faithful mentors who foster a spirit of caring and sharing and offer a friendly atmosphere for teens toe explore and develop their relationship with God through lively discussion and prayer.
Weekend Outreach Events
We want to share Jesus Christ with others, so once a month special events are held for Junior High and Senior High youth to provide them with the opportunity to invite their non-church friends to experience the fun that goes on at FBCC.
Mission Trip to Jamaica
Every summer we take students to Montego Bay, Jamaica to help them discover a lifestyle of ministry where they can share and serve in the name of Jesus. We partner with a community called Comfort Hall where our involvement ranges from developing relationships to construction projects. We also partner with another community about a 2 hours drive from Montego Bay called Top Hill. There we work alongside our friend Brooke, with her organization Friends of the Redeemer United
and work on construction projects that benefit the entire community. On each trip we regularly update our blog site
with what we are seeing, learning and doing on trip - and encourage you to follow our story!
Every February the FBCC youth chase away the winter blahs by escaping to Camp Mini-Yo-We for a weekend of exciting activities, worship and spiritual refreshment. This fully adult-supervised event begins on Friday night and ends Sunday afternoon.
